Who Is Coach Dan McCarty?

Born with Osteogenesis Imperfecta (Type 2/3), a condition that gave him a 5% chance of survival at birth, Coach Dan McCarty knows what it means to face the impossible. Despite enduring over 300 fractures and undergoing multiple surgeries, Dan has turned his challenges into a platform for inspiring others to rise above their circumstances and embrace their God-given purpose.

At just 22 years old, Dan has become a sought-after speaker, certified Christian Life Coach, minister, and podcast host. His faith-driven message has reached thousands across nonprofit galas, colleges, sports teams, youth events, and schools nationwide, including organizations like Best Buddies of Nevada, Miracle League of Las Vegas, and Friends of Jaclyn.

Dan’s leadership extends to coaching athletes from 8 years old to the MLB, consulting for professional baseball organizations, and transforming the Wilmington College Baseball program. His strategic insights and mentorship earned him the title of 2022 Assistant Coach of the Year by Collegiate Baseball Newspaper. He also served as Associate Head Coach for the High Point-Thomasville HiToms in 2023 and was featured in ABCA’s Inside Pitch Magazine (2024).

Everything Dan does is rooted in his faith. He is currently pursuing an Advanced Certificate in Ministry and actively serves on the Care Team at Central Church in Henderson, NV, where he provides guidance and support to individuals navigating life’s challenges.
